Steering Shaft replacement
Hi all, I have been chasing down the sloppy steering on my 2002 Ex Limited with the 7,3. I've done all the front end from ball joints on in but still have some play in the steering. I've found that my steering shaft is loose, either at the steering box connection or in one of the joints. I'm getting ready to put a new power steering pump in (gear box is brand new already) and I'd like to address this at the same time since I'll have that side already torn down. Any idea what the part number is? I've found several different ones that range from $235 - 350 but they are all slightly different and some aren't clear on whether they are for our trucks or not.
Anyone done this yet? Had any luck finding the replacement? Thanks for any guidance!
