Heater wiring

Alright guys it's freezing cold out and my heater does not work. 1977 f150 I have power to both side of the fuse and the orange wire to the the switch is hot at the fuse block but dead at the switch I found one connected 4 inches or so from the switch but it's dead there too. According to my Haynes there is no connectors anywhere else. So does anyone know why I won't have power?

All I can think is run a jumper wire of suitable size around the switch direct to the blower motor and see if it will run that way. It's never something simple like a switch, but might help eliminate something as a problem? Be careful as this is not a fused connection, but useful for troubleshooting.

I did but someone ripped it all out. And a correction I was looking at the wrong wire at the fuse box. I took the box off the firewall and tested the correct orange wire. No power at all. So is there any way to bypass the fuse box there or do I have to replace the box?

I don't understand what you're saying. Check power on BOTH sides of the heater fuse. Do you have power on NEITHER, ONE, or BOTH sides?
