truck is a platinum 2017, just installed 2.5” ready lift and 22x10 Tuff T15 wheels, and RBP repulsive MT tire in 35x12.5.
After installing thr lift myself with help of a long time mechanic, above about 50mph the truck shook and steering wheel jerked back an forth... had alignment done and took wheel/tires to a good aftermarket wheels place to have them rebalanced. The ride got ALOT better but still notright in my opinion. At about 60 the steering wheel doesn’t move but I feel like the whole truck shakes??? Is it still something with the balance of the tires? Possibly out of round tires? Something else? I’ve had mud terrains before but have never experienced this kind of shake. Anyone have any dealings with these tires or had similar experience?
Is is there anything I could have over or under torqued when installing the lift that could cause all this??
Anyone with any any info will be greatly appreciated, I mean I can’t even hardly drive it the vibration is so bad!!
With the steering wheel jerking back and forth, it sounds like you've altered the geometry enough to have a mild "death wobble." I would expect the issue to be after hitting a bump as is typical with death-wobble, but I'm not sure if that is always the case. If that is related to death-wobble, there is a lot of information out there on dealing with it.

yeah ah before I had he alignment and the second wheel
balance done, the steering wheel did wobble. Now the steering wheel doesn’t move at all. The truck just shakes, like the whole vehicle. Below 60 it rides fine.
Mom starting to think that myself, one of the tires took substantially more weight to balance than the others, this may be the culprit 👊🏼 Last night I also dropped air pressure from 55 to 40 and it definitely made a difference. This morning I’m gonna swap back to stocks and take a drive and see if vibration goes away. This way I’ll know if it’s something on the truck or the wheels/tires.
Sounds like the perfect test case to narrow in on what's the issue.
truck rode smooth as glass with stocks back on so it’s definitely a tire issue. Now to decide whether to chalk it up as “just how mud grips ride” or maybe a little more tweak with balance, or ask RBP to send me a new set!!
