First camping trip

First trip with my 2017 king ranch 6.2. Now I came from a 2011 king ranch 6.7. My travel trailer is 28 foot little over 7k loaded estimated. I never have weighed it. But i was a little nervous towing today with the 6.2 compared to my 6.7. But I must say the 6.2 did great. Was nervous it wouldn't have the power needed. But it did fine very happy with it. Now must say it was on flat ground for the most part. But did have a few hills where it dropped to 3rd and 4th. Fuel mileage wasn't bad either 9.7 mpg. Now I'm on my about 60 miles from home. But overall very impressed so far

the 6.2L has proven to be a great tow rig...

my rig is a 9,000 plus trailer AND I carry 1,500 pounds in truck bed... and truck has 154,000 miles... all over the eastern half of the United States.

I think that’s the first 2017 King Ranch 6.2 I’ve heard of. Congrats on the successful camping trip. You can enjoy lots and lots of miles out of the new truck!

Download the garage talk app on your phone. Then you can post pics straight from your phone in seconds. Also makes getting on the forum much faster, an I like the way it's laid out.
