Does anyone out there know where / how the water from the sun roof is supposed to drain?
I ran a hose on the roof for a while and found how it's getting inside the truck and down into the rocker panel.
What's best described as the door jam has a rather large hole where a wire harness comes through which goes into the fuse box mounted near the passengers feet.
The harness passthrough a boot which is made of foam rubber.
That boot is not glued or otherwise fastened to the door jam.
The water is running down within the door jam and coming through where the boot goes into the jam.
I managed to get a finger in there and found that below the boot - the jam seems to be factory-filled with some kind of sprat foam..
(keep in mind this truck is 4 weeks old, so nothing other than factory installed exists)
So my questions right now are as follows:
Should the water be in the door jam at all?
If yes, should the bottom of that door jam be filled with foam (or filled with so much foam) that the water can't exit and builds up until its high enough to come through =the hole with the boot?

I do not have a sunroof but I do have clearance lights on the 2019 F350 STX 6.7 CC LB. I also have a sliding rear window opening.
I first noticed when I lowered the backs of the rear seats and saw rust on the hinges. Like it's been happening for a while.
This is from the rear driver side door.
I’ve had the same issue on the passenger side. Used a hose on top of the moon roof, back window, passenger window, wheel well, and under the truck and couldn’t replicate. I checked after we get rain and there’s no water. But if I’ve gone through water on the road, especially some of the low water crossings and I get water showing up in the the wire channel. I have no water stains on the upholstery.
I have not been through any water, in fact it has been sitting for the last few days. It has been happening before I got it I'm sure due to the rust I see. Just sooooo upset right now. I know things can rust up quickly, but not in the few days I've had this truck.
Holly shi@@er, no sunroof, but I do have cab lights and sliding rear window, I’ll go have a look see, thx in advance
nope, no rust , no wet anything, thank the ford god, wifey was very surprised that I wanted to sell the tundra for the ford, I would have never heard the end of that one.
Just had my 2017 F450 water leak fixed. I figured it was the moonroof drain tube as the water dripped from the driver's side grab handle. I pulled the A-pillar trim and dropped the headliner to reconnect the tube... nope, it was connected just fine. With my A-pillar trim off, it was easy to see where the leak was. It was the windshield leaking from the side. The dealer broke the windshield when taking it out to reseal it, so now i have a new windshield and no leak.
Both the dealer and I figured it was the moonroof or clearance lights, but, at least this time, they were innocent.
I kept hearing the same thing. Then found out that my passenger side rear door was half way full of water. The drain holes were full of lithium grease from the factory and it couldn't drain. You may want to check them to be sure the sound isn't a little closer than your fuel tank.
Same thing happened to me and my 2017 cclb 6.7 DRW! Didn't notice it till a few weeks ago after a heavy rain. Drain holes was clogged, unclogged them by self! No sunroof, used compressed air at the 2 drain/weep holes at very bottom of door. Driver side rear passenger.
