Disable auto door locks

Bought a 2003 X and was going insane every time I got out of the truck and went to get something out of onother door only to find it locked. If you read the manual there is a function which disables the auto lock feature thereby keeping the locks unlocked unless you manually do it.

There is a procedure for silencing that stupid seatbelt dinger too.

I hated the dinger and the door locks. Trying hooking up a trailer by yourself with that stupid dinger going off and the doors always locking themselves.

Disable auto door locks

to disable the seat belt ringer, just push down the red release button, it fools the computer into thinking you have buckled your seat belt

but just for a second...
there is a procedure in the owners manual to disable it for good...

Great topic guys.... Thanks a lot for the tipps regarding that stupid dinger, which drives me insane all the time...

I did not know that you actually could disable that function. I'll look it up in the manual and try it...
