Fuel Filter reset after change?
The 2016 6.7 had a reset after you changed the fuel filter. Can not find a way of notifying the truck of a fuel filter change on the 2017 6.7. I found the oil change reset. Any help would be appreciated.

I thought it worked like this.
The first filter is constantly testing for the amount of water accumulated.
The second filter in the engine bay is another chance to filter the fuel not so much for water it’s more designed for other impurities.
The 22,500 interval is set to keep a fresh filter present and under most circumstances this is often enough to keep everything running properly.
If water becomes present before there the dash will prompt a early change / drain and then after the change / drain it doesn’t sense it any more everything functions normally.
My guess is the fuel filters work more like the air filters rather than a oil change interval prompt on the dash.
