I am looking into having my front lawn converted to artificial turf. Does anyone here have this? I'm curious about the maintenance involved after the turf has been laid down.
Should be the last thing you have done to your property. All the sawdust and paint spills and concrete splashes and construction debris is difficult to "tarp-off" completely. So fix everything on the house first and all landscaping you want done and the last task to do is to cover ground with artificial turf.

I'm a firm believer it would be cheaper to concrete the whole yard then paint it green. Think of how much gas and time you'd save over the years
I have a lot of cement on the property already. For my front, I have three options.....extend my cactus farm, plant new sod or go with artificial lawn.
We plan to build a new home next year.
After talking with friends who have it already, we've already decided that when we landscape, all grass areas will be artificial lawn.
So, the estimates have been coming in and the price looks to be around $5K for about 400 square feet or about $12.50/ft2, done by a contractor. Mine will be done in Mid December, so pics will be posted then. Talked to a few neighbors around here that have it. A couple are a year old and one is about 7 years old. The 7 year old one looks real clean after all this time.
