House Questions????

So Im looking at a house that I like. The house was built in 1943 on a crawl and sits on 2 lots. The house is only 825sq. ft. Which is no big deal to me. My biggest problem is the whole house is eletric. furnece, waterheater, stove, dryer. Now I dont want that! So I made a couple calls and was qouted about $5500 min to switch over to gas. Now my question is will this be worth it? Will it raise the value of the house? What are your thoughts?

thanks,
Alpine

House Questions????

It's not worth $5,500 to add gas to the home. The home should get an all electric discount from your energy supplier. This year, homes that were all electric faired better on their utility bills than folks with gas due to the price of gas. Make sure to have a real estate inspector view the home before closing to find any possible problems.
