Park lite malfuction

Installed dual filament front parking lite sockets from LMC. When I turn on park lite both filaments lite up but have no turn signals. When I turn on head lites no parking lites but turn signals work fine. 1963 F100. Any guesses.

When you turn on the parking lites do you have the key on as well? It needs to be turned one way or the other for the turn signals to work. By design, the parking lites go off when the head lites are turned on.

Turn signal problems

Post 4 is one possibility Another is power is crossing over from the parking light circut into he turn signal circut as suggested by both filiments being lite when the parking lights are on. Turn signal flasher does not have enough moxie to flash all those bulbs Turn parking lights off and turn signal works. Potential cross over points include all two filiment bulbs front and rear, sockets, wiring harness and a trailer harness if so equipped. If lights worked normally before you replaced the sockets I would not immediately suspect the harness.

Addendum to post 5: I assume the dual filiment bulbs front and rear are doing the same thing.

I was suspecting a ground problem. When I use test lite grounded to battery, it doesn't light at all. Only when I plug them in and mount them, which by the way indicates the front cowl is grounded, then they lite. I wonder if lite switch or dash isn't properly grounded. Also, I'm suspecting flasher but that wouldn't explain why both filaments lite on park.

Reference post 6; the power is crossing over from one circut to the other which is why both filiments are lite at the same time. If this happens when the brake and thus the brake lights operate problem could be in turn signal circut as they both use the same filiment in the tail lights.

Forgot to say in post; if all filiments are lite I would guess you have grounds. Perhapes an electrical expert in the group could speak to this.
