Limerick Transmission - WARNING
December 2015 I had them rebuild my transmission. (2002 F350 4x4 Diesel 4r100) Told them I wanted the upgraded clutch packs, valve bodies, torque converter, synthetic fluid, etc. Paid just south of $3,000.
Shortly thereafter my brother's 2004 F150 4x4 5.4L tranny went. We had no reason to avoid the scumbags at Limerick yet, so my brother took his truck there. Long story short, they unsuccessfully rebuild his transmission 2x, and bought a junkyard transmission which also got rebuilt 2x before the truck was driveable. In that period (6 MONTHS) my brother ended up buying another truck, and sold the 04 F150 to some poor soul.
Well, last month, under 2 years and less than 20k miles the transmission in my F350 crapped out. Sensing that they would try to screw with me, I checked the fluid level before I brought it to them, and VIDEO RECORDED IT. Found my warranty paperwork (3-year/36k miles) and brought it to them. They took it for a test drive, and assured me "no problem, it will be covered under warranty." 2 weeks later they call me to let me know it was "3 quarts low and will not be covered." I told them that is bull****, I checked it, video recorded myself checking it, and they were lying. They then decided to say it was leaking fluid. It was not. They then said the owner was out of state on vacation. He may be, but I doubt it. I told them that I will take them to court if they don't fix it at chich time the argument became heated and I ended up hanging up on them.
AVOID THESE SCUMBAGS!!!!!!

I took a week off of work to work on my engine and have the trans rebuilt. I was originally going to attempt it myself, but at the last minute decided not to. I took it to a shop on the recommendation of the shop where I pulled the transmission. They'd previously done work for them and they assured me they'd take good care of me. They had my trans back to me in 2 days time and even installed the rebuild kit and DPC Converter I supplied. I and a buddy put the transmission back in, fill it with fluid, I take it around the block, and while I have all 6 forward gears and reverse, the torque converter won't lock up.
No matter what I did, it just wouldn't lock up. They spent the next 3 months guessing as to what the problem was.
-They treated a mechanical problem as an electrical problem and hacked up my transmission harness saying that they were going to jump a wire to make the converter lock up. (that didn't work)
-They said they were going to take it down a bumpy road to bump something loose for it to lock up.
-I took the truck from them and replaced the transmission harness myself. I was VERY lucky to find at the Ford Livonia warehouse.
-They then blamed the torque converter 3 times saying it has to be bad. I sent my original back to Phil, he cut it open and said: "it looks like the converter wasn't even used" and sent me a newer one with a lower stall speed. It half locked up and then fell out of lock up.
-They then blame the converter again as was about to replace it when I told them to stop. I called reputable builders around the county and among the things they all said could be the problem was the pump. The shop had modified/repaired my pump with Sonnax parts instead of replacing it. I bring them a brand new Motorcraft pump and $600 and 3 months later, my converter miraculously locks up and stays locked up like it's supposed to.
In between all this, instead of getting the truck out of the shop, they'd sit on it and put it on the back burner because it was warranty work and didn't pay. I get that you have a business to run, but they damn sure don't know how to take care of their customers.
This is why I only recommend big name shops and rebuilders who've been at this awhile now.
