Thumping noise in my truck... HELP!!

Hey guys.

New to the the forum here and need some help/advice because I知 am stuck as to what it is.

Im in a 2004 F350 SRW and when I知 at a stop light or sitting in traffic and am in drive with my foot on the brake, this thumping noise comes on. You can feel it in the pedal. You can hear it in the passenger floor board. And feel it if you put your hand on the floor in front of the center console. It also does it on left turns.

But the the weird thing. As soon as you put it in neutral not changing any other factors, the noise stops.. 😮🙄

is is it a brake issue? Hydrobooster, stopping line?
or is it tranny?

Just did a p/s flush on it thinking that maybe would help with the hydrobooster. But the noise still remains!

any help would be great guys!

Thanks in advance.
Mason.

Have someone sit in the truck like they池e at a stop light while you look underneath and in the engine compartment to see if you can narrow the location down better. Maybe you値l actually see something hitting against something msking the noise.

Well. Someone cut me a break! I pulled up the drive from work. And put it in park and I heard the noise. So I put my investigator hat on (my headlamp because it was midnight 30) and went searching.

Over time. I guess my rubber hanger mount came loose at the mid pipe. So it had caused my clamp from mid to up pipe to sit against the tranny dipstick tube. Gonna crawl under it after the cows are fed and see if I can readjust! Will let you guys now.

I致e got a video I wish I could load with the noise in the cab.

You made almost the same post the other day, except you didn't say it was knocking when sitting at a light with your foot on the brake. So now you've 2 threads going for the same thing??

It's no problem, but if you'd have stated in the 1st thread that you were sitting at a stop light in gear and you had the thumping going on, I wouldn't have suggested lifting it and checking the hub assemblies or related parts. I am glad you found your problem though.
