What I'm failing to grasp is why you think you have to bust my chops over not choosing and judging everything by your standards. My apologies to the original poster for taking this down a rabbit trail.

Apparently you don't understand the concept of conservation or sympathetic restoration. The OP clearly stated he wants to conserve the truck NOT restomod it. The original carb is available for him to achieve HIS goal. So instead of providing useful knowledge to help the OP achieve this you went off on a tangent cause it does not fit your preconceived notions. How about listening to what the OP is saying and help him achieve that instead of what YOU want to do.

Looks to be 1973 van application so would be for a 302 I suspect.
