Apparently you don't understand the concept of conservation or sympathetic restoration. The OP clearly stated he wants to conserve the truck NOT restomod it. The original carb is available for him to achieve HIS goal. So instead of providing useful knowledge to help the OP achieve this you went off on a tangent cause it does not fit your preconceived notions. How about listening to what the OP is saying and help him achieve that instead of what YOU want to do.

I didn't comment to start an argument but I seem to have gotten sucked into one. You may carry it on without further response from me since my opinion is not in alignment with yours and obviously invalid.

Looks to be 1973 van application so would be for a 302 I suspect.
ND or some one who has the books for this era will be able to tell you for sure.
