I picked up a Thunderjet 429 for my old '59 F100 and I am looking for someone with experience on header fitment with this engine..
The truck has a 400 in it now and there appears to be a ton of room for headers with just about anything but figured I would ask before I run off and buy up a bunch that don't fit.
Thanks for the tip! Dang those are spendy for a plain/painted header! I'm still looking around to see if another header will fit. I had a set of ceramic coated Hean's on my '67 and they looked awesome and never rusted. I don't even know where a guy would send headers to have them coated. I've done powdercoat on a Y-block with sanderson's but I want the real shiny look on this thing. It's a rusty old shop truck but when the hood goes up i want it to drop jaws.
Sanderson was easy to work with. They sent me a set to check fitment; once I was sure they were going to work I sent them back and paid a little more for the ceramic coated set.
Danleig,
You are the man! I'm trying to find headers for the 460 going in my '64 that will clear the upper control arms on the 1988 corvette IFS I installed. Thanks!
