learned something new about my truck yesterday.

if i unlock the drivers door with the key instead of the remote or keypad, i only have 30 seconds to start the truck before the alarm goes off.

I Don't have to worry about that with manual door looks and aftermarket keyless entry!

i also found this out the hard ever since my power locks keep blowing fuses. If you use the power door lock button on the truck but open it with the key, it will do that every time. You can just put the key in the ignition and the alarm with no go off. You do not have to actually start it.

What do you do if the battery shorts out or goes completely dead? I know you can use a slim jim, but what if your not near one?

I know if I use the Remote start on mine with the window down and reach in and unlock the door I have 30 Seconds to insert the key or it goes off. My Mustang the Alarm goes off reaching into the door to unlock it.

This has been a thing with Fords for some time now.
My 2010 Fusion was the same way.
Kind of annoying; makes you use the FOB or key it soon, otherwise you get the honk.
