V10 Engine Codes and Fixes..
Hi All
We live in the Uk and have owned and lived in travelling Uk and Europe a 1999 Fleetwood Bounder 34J American Rv with the Triton V10 .
Recently she is not running right, Will start first time then stalls, second attemp runs fine but hunts.
Lack of power especially up hills, again hunts and surges.
Have put her on a OBD2 FoCOM test system and these are codes which have arisen.
P0505
P1288
P1703 Brake switch out of test. was told to press pedal. code still appers
P1780 OD out of test. Again told to press while testing. Cleared code
P0300 Both these codes are of missing cyls or erratic. Will change Spark
P0301 Plugs and check all coils.
Know about the 3 thread on our engine so hoping they come out with out too much drama and go back in, any special or better plug worth fitting.

Motorcraft plugs and Denso COP'S, a little bit of anti-sieze on the plug threads and over Torque the plugs to 20-25 ft-lbs. You can try cleaning the IACV through the brake booster hose with Seafoam.

Its a new IAC valve fitted just a couple of months ago. COP'S sorry not sure what this is.

COP = Coil on Plug
Each spark plug has its own coil; instead of individual spark plug wires running to a single ignition coil, as in the "good ol' days."
Denso is the manufacturer of the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacture) cops used by Ford at the factory.
