No codes
91 f150 302 5 speed 4wd
My truck is dying at stop signs and when I hit the clutch it also has a top speed of 45 about before it get an inconsistent violent jerk over and over
the tach isn't dipping when it happens so I don't think it's the ecm
I feel like I should be getting codes but it returns all ones for an all clear I believe it's the computer failing here but I'm not sure

Is the truck slow or sluggish at all? Hard time starting or no start sometimes?

All ones for which tests? KOEO, CM, KOER?

Starts right up every time but here's an update I think the sputtering now dying at idle is related to the highway problems since it's worse than ever
new computer cap rotor coil pick up coil plugs plug wires still no difference the module is fairly new so I'm pretty sure it's fine
also no koer koeo codes literally nothing
I don't know what cm codes are but if it's stored codes I don't have them

CM = Continuous Memory aka Stored Codes.
Lack of retrieving any codes could be a bad computer or something as simple as the pins on the data link are corroded. Try using some contact cleaner or for a more aggressive approach use a small finger nail file to shine them up. Try running the KOEO tests and CM code display again.

Well the tach needle is bouncing so the module is probably bad
but I ran codes again and got some steering code still nothing stored so I'm guessing it's fine shy of the module

What fuel pressure are you getting?
Is the exhaust original?

The exhaust is straight pipe from the first cat back
I don't know the fuel pressure but both pumps have the problem and the filter is decently new

I had similar issues with my 91. Turned out bad fuel injectors were the cause of all the jerking, bucking, and stalling.

New module changed nothing
I ran another ground to the alternator
I wiggled wires under the dash it immediately died I started it back up still had the same issues but the tach was rock solid
it seems to be a loose wire

I swapped the ignition and it had a few issues still but it's getting better I'm going to look into fuel injectors next since it's pretty much perfect but still occasionally acts up

Ok new symptom it just died and wouldn't restart for about 15 seconds
side note the old key was so hard to turn it could easily be considered an anti theft device bit the new switch fixed that

The check engine light finally flashed but it went off immediately
So I got koeo code 29 and 41 after I put my old o2 sensor in
and koer code 41 52 67
evidently the o2 sensor went bad while rattling around in the tool box probably because it's filled with oil
I got bogging down too not sure what that's from but probably the o2 sensor if I had to guess
