1967 Crown Vic 4.6l V8 Engine Swap
I have a 1967 F100 With a 240ci 6-cylinder Engine, and a model C4 3 speed transmission. I want to upgrade the engine but I want to keep the 3 speed/3 on the tree transmission in it. I have looked and I haven't been able to find a way to hook up a Crown Victoria 4.6l V8 to my transmission. Does anyone know a way to do it? What all Engines can I swap and keep my Trans, or what engine can I get that I can get a 3 on the tree trans for and do an easy hook up? I appreciate any help Thanks. -Cooper

The 91 Lincoln Town Car with the 4.6 had a 302-351 rear bolt pattern. This was a 1year set up. There are adapters available that will mount a later 4.6-5.4-5.0 coyote to a 240-302-351 pattern. You could also go with a 80s version Ford,Mercury or Lincoln AOD transmission with the adapter which would give you overdrive. I also believe someone makes a bellhousing that replaces the bellhousing on some versions of the C4 that have a removable bellhousing.
