Bubba, you didn't answer this question with your response.

See why this could go in circles forever?

Why is it so hard to believe that with enough time and unlimited
combinations that just about anything will happen?

Creationism is not science.

Either evolution is a fact or "god" had a limited imagination.

It's no coincidence that fish have two eyes and so do we.

How about all mammals having teats?

Carbon dating is very reliable within its limits.

How anyone with even the least understanding of geology could believe the Earth is 8000 yrs. old is beyond me.

The big bang theory doesn't say anything came from nothing, just that it all was in one place at least momemtarily.

I'm an atheist in or out of a foxhole.

p.s. there's no sandy claws either.

I don't know the answer to your question Waxy, but I'd rather believe in a supreme being that was here in the beginning and will always be here rather than believe a theory that breaks the laws of physics. Maybe one day we will find the answer.

Every tribe has a holy man. He doesn't have to hunt. Get the idea?

Religion makes strong wills weak, docile, easy to manipulate.

It's a story told to frightened children round the campfire since
our earliest times.

Sorry to say but it's big, it's cold and we might just be alone in it although I doubt it.

I'm not sure what it is but I'm sure what it isn't.

What we believe

thats right, in Revelation, God is called the Alpha and the Omega, He IS the beginning and the end.

also, John 1:1-5 In the beginning was the Word and the Word was God and the Word was with God, He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made, without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understoood it.

I believe in the big bang, God spoke, and bang! it happened

Waxy:

Dinosaurs were very much alive in the Bible. How did they all just disappear? Ever hear of the flood? 40 days and 40 nights the entire earth was flooded except a huge boat containing two (male and female) animals, fish, birds, etc. Also, Noah and the people with were on the Ark. The flood wiped out all land living dinosaurs. Also, the flood separated the lands. Does that answer your question -- seeing as how you know so much about Genesis and how much you discredit it.

Also, I wonder why there are still Therodactles still flying around in some parts of the world. I have no idea if I spelled that correctly. Anyways, that's what I've heard, not seen. Also, how would explain the "Lochness Monster?"

I hope this answers your question.

Oddly enough, I believe something like that. But it would be hard to explain.

Ever hear of the flood?
Yeah - ever heard of the "Kondratief Meteor"? (I may have mis-spelled)

There is evidence of major climatic changes - the "Ice Age" being one. Theory has it that a very large meteor strike can cause global cooling due to the amount of ash in the atmosphere. It is believed that something like this brought about the glaciation of much of the northern land masses many centuries ago.

Mount St. Helens caused a similar effect on a smaller scale, and I suspect we are seeing many after effects of it even today.

As to "How would you explain the Loch Ness monster?" - Well, since you asked so nicely:

The Dragon of Winford Crossing

We all need to slow down a little. At this rate, we will run out of things to argue about. I'm only 34. I plan to argue for a long time.

No I think it's safe to assume if you come back in another 34 years someone will still be arguing these same points.

Yup, you could spend eternity arguing about this and get absolutely nowhere. Anyways, about the meteor thing...ya know, that could have happened also. Here's how I see it. God flooded the entire Earth with water. He made a storm for 40 days and 40 nights. Also, it says water rose up from the ground and flooded the lands. What's my point? I have absolutely no idea how God flooded the world. He might have used a meteor for all I know. But either way, the place flooded according to the Bible. That's a pretty significant catasrophic event that happened in the Bible.

True4.2, you never cease to amaze me, you have unwaivering faith.

That's how you explain it?

Correct me if I'm wrong here true4.2, but didn't the story say that two of every creature were loaded onto the ark? Why no mention of giant evil lizards in the time before Noah?

What about Woolly Mammoths, saber toothed cats, giant sloths, etc...?

There are NO pterodactyls flying around in the world true4.2, I have no idea where you got that notion. Let's stick to facts.

The Loch Ness Monster? C,mon, what's next, the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus. What about Bigfoot? Is he out there too? How do you explain him?

Your post did absolutely nothing to answer my questions.

I have to quit posting to this thread, it's endless, but I just can't wrap my head around it.. No matter what I say, you just change your story, or adapt some Bible story, to explain it away. In the end, I can't prove God didn't do it, no matter how much science I present. After all, God probably created science.

That's the beauty of being a believer I guess, you can never be proven wrong. Sure is frustrating.

I will never cease to be amazed at the way otherwise sane, rational people can be coerced into believing that the most RIDICULOUS stories/ideas are true, simply because their parents told them so or because it is written in some old book (which was written by PEOPLE).

The entire earth flooded from 40 days and nights of rain??? TWO of EVERY SINGLE CREATURE on Earth all nestled together on one boat??? Earth only 8000 years old??? HA! HA! HA! HA!

Keem 'em coming guys.

I thought this was interesting. Why must you make fun of other peoples beliefs? Is that the only way you can "win" an arguement?
