Exclamation Got a problem with fuel..

So on my 1989 F250 4x4 with a 5.8 its close to being done, I just got to patch the floor up and a couple little things here and there. But I replaced the fuel tanks and the pumps inside of the tanks with tank and pumps out of a 1990 F250 (the original ones were too rusty) and the pumps were different but it runs good but then I found a pump for the fuel on the driver side bellow the cab! on the frame with 4 fuel lines going into it and 2 going out and now its really pissing fuel out and the truck stalls when I put it into gear, I did drive the truck around a while back and the "pump" i found seemed to start leaking a tiny bit but now the truck sputters and the "pump" leaks a ton of fuel, Should I remove it because the pumps in the tanks are pushing to much fuel into the "pump" on the frame?
I looked on the parts truck I took the tanks from and it does not have a pump on the frame bellow the drivers side cab its a (1990 F250)
I just wanna get the truck done before winter rolls in, plus I wanna get back into fixing dirt bikes up for the winter lol.

This is my first Ford I'm working on so bear with me.
I might post pics of the pump under the cab if can figure out how to upload pictures lol.
And I really need help asap

The pumps in the tank should be low pressure scavenge pumps, all they do is pick the fuel up and send it to the high pressure pump on the frame which boosts the pressure up to what is required for fuel injection.

I forget what year Ford switched the design of the system, but the later models didn't use a pump on the frame. The tank pumps provided full pressure to the engine. It sounds like you used the later style pumps in your tanks, considering you said they looked different.

Here is the picture of the new pump out of the 1990 parts trucks.
the two other pictures are the pump and the dual function reservoir.
So I assume I have to reroute the fuel lines? what do I do? or do I add a adapter to the lines?

AND idk why the images are so big.. my bad.

Your 1990 fuel pump should run your engine fine, without using the frame rail pump. Yes, you will have to bypass the frame rail pump.

All said and done, you should verify your fuel pressure at the fuel rail.

Are you using 1 or 2 Tanks ?

Personally, I would put the correct pumps in the tank and replace the pump on the frame, if at all possible. I'm not sure how the trucks ECM/PCM is going to react to a frame bypass.

It doesn't know it exists.
