Stupid question time, where is rear window switch?
hi guys,
y'all have been an invaluable help with my old OBS truck, I bought autoenginuity, and got her running great after new IPR and ICP.
now I have an 03 SD 7.3, and it has a 3 piece rear window. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to open it.
I dont see a handle for any Manual operation, and can't find a switch for electric operation.
if someone could take just a sec and let me know how to open it, I'd really appreciate it. Feel free to take jabs at me in the process

Have you said please open or open sesame?
I figured mine opened after running a vin check for the factory features. Mine is manual, I've not opened it yet and doubt it's been opened in a very long time. If I were you, I'd clean the channel with compressed air, possibly try a bit of brake cleaner. If still stuck, I'd try a small block of wood and rubber mallet to GENTLY and tape top and bottom to keep window moving squarely in the track and get it to break loose. Once you get it to move the more you use it the easier it'll move. FWIW, my window doesn't have a latch so my concern would be it will be too easy to open. I'll probably look for an aftermarket latch before I get mine to open. Hope this helps.

More than likely the latch fell off since they are just glued on. Mine was missing when I got my window and I bought one off ebay and glued it on with rear view mirror adhesive. As was said clean the track. Then clean it again. Then clean it again. I only use the latch to unlock the window then I pull on the glass to open it to avoid stress on the handle.
