Could my fuel injectors need cleaning?

I has a 2000 f250 super duty gas burner that stutters and jerks when there is a stran on the engine. If I let off the gas or add more gas to the engine it quits throwing it's fit. I have had the truck tuned and that didn't seem to help. I pull a horse trailer with the truck so weould really like to figure out what is going on. Any suggestions?

I would begin to diagnose by putting a code reader on the OBDII port and see if any codes are being stored.

Check engine light isn't on so no I haven't had a code reader on it. But I can get that done.

Check fuel pressure. In most cases fuel injectors never need to be cleaned.
Check filter..check exhaust for clog.

Engine gets wet can be a coil, water gets in around them, also can be a loose plug about to blow out.
