Hi! I have recently bought a 1989 F350 dually, that has 25,000 miles. I have converted it to gasoline fuel from propane. Engine runs, but it is overfueling pretty badly. I am looking for suggestions as to what the problem could be, if anyone can help, that would be great.
Thanks in advance,
Darius
What engine does the truck have? Have you checked the fuel pressure? Have you checked for any codes? What has been replaced or added to make it run on gasoline again?
hi there!
the engine is a 5.8l, I have replaced fuel tank, pump, fuel filter, and the injectors. I have checked the vac hose to the FPR and there was no fuel in it.
I have no codes yet. No lights on to suggest a code. Will be looking MAF and other sensors next.
thanks for your reply
Darius
You should get the all-clear code of 11 - 11 if everything passes in KOEO/CM and KOER tests. There can be stored codes even if the Check Engine Light is off. Your truck does not use a MAF meter, it uses a Speed Density engine control system.
