Appearance, would this look good?

Hey guys just a quick question, i have a 78 F100 custom all original. and im wanting to put new tires on, im considering a cooper cobra or a cooper discoverer. Also wanting to get some halo projection headlight, Yes? No? should i rhino line my bed or just paint it the original color? should i get bigger mirrors? Any suggestions are useful even if they are against my ideas, i want the opinion of FTE

Those mirrors look good on that truck, however if you can't see out of them, get new mirrors. I personally dont like Halo headlights on these trucks but a headlight upgrade couldn't hurt. I like the look of classic dim 'yellow' lighting the stock bulbs produce, however you cant see anything at night. I would paint the bed unless you can justify rhino lining with how often you use it.

What is best for you? If you can see in the mirrors, and want to have halo's, go for it. Rhino Liner is not cheap, you may want to look at other alternatives if you do go that route. Its a good looking truck, simple, clean.

I would just paint the inside of the bed if you're not going to haul anything that tears up truck beds. Nice Ford!

The only thing I would change is put the tire lettering on the inside, not a big fan of white letters. Good looking ride tho.

Nice looking Ford! As for the bed, it depends on what you're hauling. I'd probably line it.
Keep the mirrors and the factory headlights. I think the halos make it look like something it's not. I have Cooper discoverers on my work truck. They handle and ride very well. Looks like they will get 30k-40k miles. Just opinions. Good luck.

I would drive it as is, that thing is sharp.

Cooper Discoverer would be a good replacement for the At's on it now.

For the headlights maybe get the LMC headlight harness to get the old lights brighter. Truck Parts and Truck Accessories

I like the mirrors and the clean look it has. If you need better/bigger ones, type 9's for sure IMO.

Professional spray in bed liner is $$, if its a hauler and gets used, then the Rhino liner will save it alot. But once its in, its in.

Paint the tool box to maybe match the rear bumper color?

If you want, you can get the Rhino bedliner to match the color of the truck so it looks more original but yet you still get the protection of the bedliner. I'd say get bigger mirrors if you drive it a lot and need to be able to see more. I have the LED headlight upgrade on my 79 and LOVE how bright they are.

I think it looks pretty good as is. Maybe some street tread truck tires, depending on where you drive it.

Rhino is pricey, but invaluable if you need it.

I personally like bigger mirrors, but hate more holes in the doors.

And adjust the hood and/or fender so they line up!

The headlight harness is a great upgrade that every dent should have. They're $30 at Bronco Graveyard and LMC, but they're available on eBay with ceramic insulators for half that.

The bright white with the light green is really clean looking. I like it!
