New mirrors

I was working on my truck yesterday, and I broke off one of my mirrors (just my luck) and my truck looks pretty retarded right now with only one mirror, and I'm not gonna even try and fix it, I'd rather buy a new set.

So I'm trying to pick what kinda mirrors I want for my truck now, I'm really thinking of tripod mirrors, but I'm not really sure.

Here's a place a found with a good deal on tripods:

Here's a picture of my truck:

Do you guys think tripods would look good on it?

And also if you guys could post up some other pictures of trucks with tripod mirrors that would be awesome, just so I can get a feel for what it will look like.

Those mirrors that you have on now, I think, look best. I'd rather have those than my current electonic adjusting ones. Yes the comfort of pressing a bottom and adjusting them are nice, but they aren't great with towing and aren't far enough away from the truck. Just my opinion of course. I think tripods only look good on dually's and they would look to big on that truck for me. On a single cab such as yours I'd stick with what you got

I love the ones I got, but they don't tip down, and with the lift and big tires I can't see below the taillights.

I think I'd agree with snaponprofile on this one, tripods look strange unless they are out in the wide position, and unless on a dually, they are wider than a regular truck needs.

I am wondering though if anyone has added heated mirrors to existing mirrors on any of these trucks? Would love to have them for winter.... I know they are available in west coast mirrors, but anything for these smaller mirrors?

im thinking those would look fine.i don't think they would stick out anymore than the type on there would they?

grey,iv read where some people have stuck lites behind the non heated version of the west coasts and it worked good.
my guess is,if you can get behind the glass easy enough,it may be worth a shot.

That's what I'm trying to find out also, the site is showing two different sizes on one page, they have the small size and the medium size in the same picture, they also have the really big ones you see on dually trucks.

I'm thinking of the medium size.

Damn I hate shopping online.

Please do not take this personally, but the mirrors you have now suck. They look bad, really bad, on any Ford truck. Maybe I am spoiled with the much nicer mirrors that GM installed on their older trucks, but I absolutely positively hate that style of mirrors you have. If you want "tripod" mirrors, they may look good on your truck, if you go with ones that do not stick out a foot away from the door (also known as towing mirrors) because your truck is not a dually. What I think would actually look best on your truck are those mirrors that the rounded-front Bronco trucks have, this thing here:

Those little mirrors won't cut it on my truck, not saying they don't look good, they're just too small.

I was gonna get some west coast mirrors, but a friend of mine has west coast mirrors on his 85 f250, and it would just look gay if we both have them lol

I found a guy on CL selling a set of towing mirrors for 10 bucks! still in the box, gonna call him and see how that goes.

And I don't think the big mirrors will look that bad (after the flatbed and dually convert )

I've got some west coast style mirrors but i don't have them mounted cause i need to make new pipes... The ones that came with it put the mirrors about 2 feet away from the cab...

I have the mirrors like you have now and they're both froze... can't move them at all...
