I had a b&w companion for 8 years or so, and it was a great hitch. Went with a Curt Q25 for the new truck and am very happy with it. Even happier with the price vs. the B&W.
Had a B&W for 5 years. Went with the Curt Q25 like you, and agree, very happy with it. Also liked the money savings.
Reese and Curt are both reputable brands, either one will work. Depending on the trailer, you're most likely going to want a sliding hitch so you don't blow the back window out of your cab.
Or a Reese Sidewinder. Had to do this with my 2016. It now is working well in my 2017. Very happy with it.
No messing with a slider. Hook/unhook from whatever angle you parked at. It gives you a 21 or 22 inch setback and will turn tighter than 90 degrees if you need to. The pin actually locks straight into the 5th wheel. The pivoting is all done from a turret back at the pinbox.
I shopped online, found a price lower than etrailer.com. They matched it and gave me an extra 10% off.
My camper is an older (1999) model with a straight down Leland 7900 pinbox. A 10 inch pinbox extender installed by a local RV dealer was a wasted $300 because it wasn't quite enough.
Due to the short bed, you'll either want to go with a sliding hitch or a fifth wheel that's equipped with a Reese Revolution (OEM brand name) or Sidewinder (aftermarket brand name for the same piece of equipment).
As mentioned, both Curt and Reese are very reputable, I'd recommend going with the hitch that has the greatest available height adjustment, which in your example would be the Curt. Unless you're on a very tight budget, I'd strongly recommend avoiding a fifth wheel hitch that uses a slide bar jaw. The slide bar allows the king pin to move around quite a bit in the hitch, which can cause an uncomfortable ride.
