5TH Wheel Hitch
Does anyone have a recommendation on the type of fifth wheel hitch I can install on my '04, F-250, 6.0, CC, LB truck? I plan on towing a fifth wheel with a Trail-Air pin box. I'm considering a Reese Signature Hitch.

Buy whatever your budget will allow. Reese is good. There are better...check out most any Travel Trailer mag or their web sites. Or just google 5th wheel hitch and you'll find all kinds. I've used a Reese since 1994 (installed on two different trucks) and it's been great. Do you have a long bed or a short bed? If a short bed, you NEED a sliding type hitch so you don't wipe out your cab and/or front of trailer making L turns. Look around. We can all give you advise, but it's your money.

I have a goose neck adapter on my 5th wheel and a flip over 2 5/16" ball in the bed of the (short bed) truck. that way I don't have to fool with removing or storing the fifth wheel hitch normally in the truck. Can also pull all other gooseneck trailers, horse etc.
