I have recently replaced my Injectors, and have had no problems what so ever. I recently took my camper up into the hills about a week or so back and there was a lot of pumps and wash board roads. Today I was checking my oil and I noticed that the drivers side front plug that goes to the valve cover gasket was unplugged and the retaining clip broken, so I plugged it back in and zip tied it in place as a quick fix. I started the truck and it is running very very ruff and is puffing some white/clear smoke almost like its cold and I can smell what may be burning oil and the check engine light is on. I then unplugged the front plug leading to the valve cover gasket restarted the truck and it sounds fine idling smooth and no check engine light, a buddy of mine has a scanner and should be out tomorrow to take a look at the code. I was just curious if anyone could tell what they believe the problem to be.

It sounds to me like you have an issue with that front under valve cover wiring, or the plug going to it, and when plugged in, the IDM is shutting that bank down to protect itself. Although it should not be running smoothly with that plug undone.
Did you look at the plug? See any bent or burnt pins? How does it drive with it unplugged? If the connector is broken the truck may run smoother with it unplugged vs plugged in. If you have ever worked on a gas burner v8 think of it like this, if you unhook 2 plug wires it will still run pretty smooth, but if you swap 2 then it will run like crap. Kind of the same thing. It would rather run with 2 not firing rather than 2 firing at the wrong time.

I figured it was something along those lines but with with it being unplugged I would think there would be a check engine light or wouldn't be running smooth. But it runs like a champ no problem

Probably needs a new plug, UVCH, or both
Plug looks fine no burns or anything, and it runs like a champ unplugged but when its plugged in it runs really rough
Are you saying the plug is actually fully unplugged? Or just kind of cocked so it looks to be partly unplugged?
There's absolutely no way totally unplugging an entire injector harness clip will make the truck run well --at all--.
Killing 2 cylinders is quite severe and noticeable.
