skibum, I'm not the right guy, but I feel your pain. The autoshop teacher where I work checked the code for my engine light{97 250 4x4 crew} and we thought it was the glow plug monitor relay. $140 later, its not the monitor. I got 4ohs on all but #4 & #8 in the value cover wiring plug, left 2 & back plugs. I tried discounting the glow plug 1 at a time and the engine, each time it would drop the revs and ran rough. I'd reconnect the plug and the engine ran smoothly. Go Figure. So maybe its not the injectors? I read about injector buzz or cylinder contribution test to check the injector in another thread, somethang else to try. I'd like to know myself what else to check?
A manuel would be nice, do you have a good manuel. I saw a thread about a manuel but no answers yet. Hope those ideas help has to thangs to check.
Good Luck Chum

pm me your email address.

skibum
sounds like you got some burnt wiring or a bad injector. if you dont have access to a scan tool that is ford enhanced pull the vc's and see if the oil spouts are squirting oil off of all the injectors also check the wiring. could be as simple as that or a loose poppet screw.

btw oil doesnt squirt everywhere with the vc's off and running like other vehicles do.
