aerostar seats
can anyone tell me if they know where i can get rear seats that will fit into an 89 aerostar that will fold down into a bed like they have in some of the new chevy conversion vans.
wheather it be a web site or a custom shop that they know does these things. (please keep in mind i'm in eastern canada)

Those were an upgrade option with limited appeal and few sales. Rare item to find. Always the standard seats found on the online auction sites but I've never seen these offered in the past two years.
Salvage yards have their own online search linkages. You might check with them through your local network. Even if the seats turn out to be the wrong color or damaged, you might be able to salvage the mechanical components and convert your existing seats.
The online Junkyard Dog has a special request feature you might try to locate the seats, but I'm not sure if they are linked into Canadian sites.

Is there a converitble rear bench as well? It looks to me that you need both the middle and the rear to fold down to form a bed.

Our 93 has that fold-down bench in the rear, the other seats are quad captain seats. It doesn't really make all that comfortable a bed, it would probably be ok for small kids. All I can say is that sucker is HEAVY !!!! Everytime we have to take it out of the van, it almost breaks our backs !!
