Does anyone know where the Fuel Pressure Regulator is located on the 97 3.0 Aerostars? I don't have a Haynes Manual

 

The fuel pressure regulator is mounted on the right front of the fuel rail. It is a cylindrical body with a vacuum line on top, and a triangular plate at its base. It's attached to the fuel rail plate by3 allen head screws that go in from under the fuel rail plate.

 

Which is great cause it means you need to pull the fuel rail to get to the screws. But look on the bright side, you can replace the intake gaskets, just make it a good day long job for some weekend, and you can replace the gaskets before they give you fits (someday they might start leaking and you will have the infamous and persistent lean codes.)

 

I've removed/installed the regulator before by using Allen head bits that I inserted from below, and turned it with a small ratcheting socket handle made for small bits to remove/replace the screws.

By the way, are you asking this because you think there might be a problem with your regulator?
