Has anybody tried to replace their 7 inch sealed beams with those new snake eye "halo lights". I got a pair but looks like you really have to butcher the head light buckets to get them in there. I'm reluctant to do that.
Do you have a picture of the back of that one Vern.? I have similar light from United Pacific but with the white halo ring. Lots of room in my 56 pots..
I put a set in an OT '56 chevy. The trough the LEDs sit in kept them from fitting down in the buckets without slight modification. Depending on the depth of your buckets, you might have a problem. They are not exactly the same size as a regular 7" headlight.

Problem is not at the back. Plenty of room there. Problem is the lights do not sit flush with the front entrance to the bucket. Lacks about 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch so bezel does not go back on. I think I will have to find another set of buckets and grind away that part of the bucket where the seal beam rested before.
