Hi,
Great site. I got an 86 F150 4x4 Lariat last week. I am learning the old truck. I got the power windows working, but using the switches up is down and down is up. Is this right? Thanks in advance for any responses.
Welcome to FTE
I remember a post of a member having the same issue but I don't remember what the fix was or if there was one?
Do a search on here you should find it.
I am also sure someone will post up an answer also.

No, Window switch for drivers side also has controls for pass side, Pass side only controls the pass side.
Driver switch (and harness) is bigger, will not fit on Pass side...
There can be a short in either switch, They are available, but be careful when pulling the bezels, they are NOT available and tend to break while removing them.
there is a super-small tab on the top and bottom of the bezel, Hidden by the door fabric, use two tiny flat-blade screwdrivers and push in on both to remove...
The driver window motor has been replaced. Some of the wires look pieced together. The passenger side looks original and the switch works as it should. Thanks

Good point. Thought the driver's side was two switches.

Just swap the 2 wires on the drivers window motor.
Based on your post, I am assuming the passenger side window works correctly with BOTH the left and right switches.
