86 F150 Crazy Idea
Hey everyone -
This is going to sound a bit strange. I have an 86 F-150. It needs some body work and since it is my second truck, I could make it into a project. I was thinking about chopping the top off.
I have a few questions:
Has anyone done it?
Does anyone know of a "kit"?
If there is no kit, would I be able to weld the upper door to the roof, cutting above the windshield and below the back window so that I can use the top I remove as a hard top? I would be keeping the vent window and making the window track on the top/side orf the door a part of the roof. I was thinking I'd have to install a roll bar and could use that as a main support for a soft top.
Any info/insight would be great!
