Tag lights not working

I recently got my truck and have been spending a lot of time trying to fix everything that wasn't taken care of. I am now working on tag lights. I can't get either of them to work. I replaced the bulbs and it didn't help. I checked the plugs and they are good. All my other exterior lights are working also. I didn't see a dedicated fuse for the tag lights unless I just missed it.

I know I need to get a voltmeter out there, but was wondering if anyone has any other ideas? My work week starts tomorrow so if it's not something basic I'm going to have to wait until next Tuesday and I will be thinking about it the entire time at work!

Any ideas? Thanks,
Jonny

Well, still fighting this. I have been unable to find a fuse that correlates to this. I checked the voltage and I have 0 and both. I replaced the plug and it didn't help. Replaced 2 different fuses on drivers kick panel (didn't look bad but figured I'd try) and that didn't help. Can anyone throw in any ideas? About at the stage where I am going to splice into my taillights and just take power from there...

Pretty sure these are fed off the left parking light. Brown(+) and black(-) wire is stock IIRC, pretty much industry standard.
Good place to start

It would be nice to know at least the year truck if not a little more.

Sorry guys it's a 2006 and the rear bumper is stock. I have tried just about everything at this point so I guess I will be tapping into the rear lights and pigtailing off there. I hate to splice into wires but I moreso hate not being able to drive at night...

Well the truck decided to start leaking coolant today, so I had it towed to my mechanic. I asked him to take a look at the tag light issue. I know everyone will be on the edge of their seats waiting for the outcome so I will let you know what the culprit ended up being...
