Mishimoto Radiator Fill

I installed a Mishimoto radiator last year. Recently, I was going to add a nylon sleeve on the upper hose to prevent chaffing. Lazily, I was going to quickly remove the hose and slip the sleeve over the hose. I removed the hose and realized it and the upper radiator tank were empty! But, the degas tank was showing on the corrected Max line. After some checking, I discovered that the radiator upper tank is above the Max line on the degas tank. The Max line is approximately at the same elevation as the bottom of the radiator neck. I remember while I was installing the radiator, the upper brackets didn't fit that well and required some shimmimg. The radiator is seated in the lower mounts.

I have not had any issues with overheating, but am concerned that I have a reduced cooling capacity and a big air bubble. I guess I'll be replacing the radiator with another brand..

Any recommendations?
