I bought this for my 2017 6.7 and just havent had time to install it just yet. I looked at the instructions and seem a bit confusing. But have any of yall install this system or any other system and are they worth it?
and I personally wwo Ulf not install one. That is asking for your motor warranty to be voided due to rerouting your oil feed/returns etc. That's just me and my comfort level speaking. With 7,500 mile oil changes being more then sufficient, no reason for me to put something like that in.
I had one from AMSOIL on my 2004 6.0 psd. I will not do it again. It's was more trouble then what it worth. The oil filter would vibrate loose no matter how tight it was installed. I'd have to check it every week or so. One time I did not check it for a few months and it was so loose all but 5 quarts of oil drained out after I started it a drove off. Really don't know how effective it was with all the stuff about filtering the oil down to 5 microns. After I sold the truck to my nephew it happened to him and he put a clamp on the filter to keep it from getting loose. Really don't think it hurt the motor when the oil drain out because it would shut down and not start until oil was put back into the motor. I'm assuming there is sensor that detects no oil pressure which causes the motor to shut downe Codes were thrown also.

I've used oil bypass systems on my two previous Ford diesels and neither of them voided my warranty. I do plan on installing another bypass system on the 6.7, either the FS2500 or a custom made one.
I have not worked on a vehicle that had a more accessible oil filter than my '17 6.7. Not sure where the oil filter is on the gasser, but IMO, it isn't needed on a diesel. You have to be down there anyway to drain the oil...
