i cant say too much about affording important stuff or having time for it. I've been running my SD for 3 years with an S365 and 160/100s on stock head bolts and stock valve springs. That has also caused me to break rocker arms and pushrods 4 times in it.. so it can be expensive and reliable or it can be cheap and break a lot. Lol.
Yup, this is true. Pay to play is real with anything you upgrade. At this point, my SD has cost me quite a bit less money just being a little ahead of the game with some, SOME of the upgrades it already has LOL. It's been a nice break from the run I had previously....though I have been looking at some OBS trucks and been tempted to have a daily driver for Sara and the kiddos. But yes, expensive and reliable or fast and cheap is the real truth.

And that's the best thing. No payments is almost always cheaper than fixing what you have and you have done some good work to this point. Just keep at it.

Also little back story on this truck I picked it up with 177,000 miles on the clock. It's a 96 f250 supercab 4x4 originally auto well auto didn't last long so I converted to manual. Then did diy efuel and intake also exhaust. Then I was having issues with front tire wear pretty bad I picked up a used set of 05 axles. With everything needed for swap for 1200 and a used set of 20in wheels and tires for it which there went my savings once again. Then I installed injectors and gauges of corse. then trouble began major oil loss which I believed to be the turbo seals but turns out einjector orings.I had already bought a turbo so everything went well then for about 1500 miles. Then It started picking coolant so I swapped motor with a 94.5. And swapping over all my parts along with motorcraft glow plugs and oil cooler seals. Then started having weird noise and low boost turned out to be the 94.5 have two less bolts in intake plenums so built flat ones. Then was getting ready to get chip reflashed and this happened and there went that money. Oh also in that time with my original engine the tin nut fell off my ipr and it blew the nut off back of hpop so was one more expense been a long 4 and half years and lot of work but maybe I'm almost getting it straightened out lol

Did you filled the oil rails with oil and hpop reservoir? Leave the glow plugs out and cranck the engine with the starter to remove any fuel/oil/coolant from rhe cylinders, also make sure your glow plugs are working.

Dont give up on her just yet i know your frustrated but in the end it could be something so simple, take a break from her and go at it again.

Oh I'm taking a brake from it for a bit I topped of resivor I've pulled glow plugs and turned it over I got everything clear several time I think my starter maybe getting weak I just need brake from truck for bit gonna clean shop and then tear into it again but my frustration is getting best of me I've done this same job on several rigs including mine more than once but it just doesn't seem like it's going as simple but it never seems to be on my own stuff

I'm sure you did but did you get the injectors seated all the way down? I use 50-50 vaseline jelly and oil mixed really well on the O rings before tapping them down all the way.

Well I was cleaning on shop then started cleaning my valve covers and parts and what not and decided to put batteries on charge one last time well turns out the turning over part was low batteries now I can get it to hit resivor is full of oil I keep cranking in short spurts with the battery charger on and then letting starter cool down so hopefully all will be well soon I hope

Yes I oild them pretty good as I've done in the past I honestly think part of issue was low batteries don't have it running yet but I've got it turning over now nice and good batteries where much lower than I thought they just needed to charge for a while
