Strange front end noise

So with the hurricane coming to my house I did the balljoints on my drivers side yesterday to prepare to evacuate today. Everything went smooth with no problems. Now fast forward to the drive to Orlando, I hit a bump going 65 and my front right side (ball joint replacement side) starts humming. I pull over and it stops, get out see nothing obviously wrong and start back on my way with no noise to speak of. It happened again and again I just slowed to almost a stop and it went away. Yesterday after the repair I took it on a trip through some crappy roads, the freeway, and all that to ensure she was safe with no problems. I'm hoping someone has insight if maybe it is the bearing failing all of a sudden (it looked fine when I took it off). I have had a vibration at 55 consistently i think is the tires now that I replaced the ball joints (was waiting to have the tire shop check balance until after the repair) maybe that could be it? Any way hope someone has some light to shed and hope all the fellow Floridians are safe and sound.

A hum is tough to pinpoint honestly. Vibration could be driveline carrier bearing, and they can also howl when bearings are going bad.
Another sign that it's time to replace U/Joints and carrier bearing is:

When you leave a stop sign and feel a shudder under throttle.
Also common to get a cab shake at higher speeds 50-70 mph at cruise. Let off throttle and may go away.

These trucks are hard on drivelines because of the diesel torque. 50K and they are likely getting loose at the roller bearings in the U/J caps.

You can crawl under the truck and pull on the driveline watching the carrier bearing rubber as well as slop in the joints.

Besides that I don't know what else to suggest just not enuf info............

What was the repair? If the bearing is failing it is because it is too tight and overheats (bearing rollers will be blue/insufficient grease/packed wrong) or it is loose and the noise you are hearing is the wheel shifting the load on the (maybe failing) bearing. Tighten bearing to specs.

I think that's it honestly. Ive replaced most of the other things. I think its the needle bearings on the half shaft. Once we return from Orlando I'm gonna pull it off and check and ensure I reinstall to specs. Thank you for quick replies
