I'd tend to think over time as people replace their windshields some opt to leave the stainless steel trim off. Either it is damaged, they couldn't get the correct weatherstrip with the channel for the trim or they simply like the looks without it.

rom behind the seat back area. It cleaned up pretty well. Once I got the hideous seat cover off the original cover was revealed. I like it. The original cover is really not all that bad.
