A friend needs a little help. in the path of Irma
Hi guys and gals. been a long time since I've been on. Need a favor for a friend. She's working in GA just south of Macon. She has a 94 F350 7.5 gasser. Anyway it quit on her yesterday and she's now stranded. She's been trying to diagnose it best she can but it tough when your 64 and 5ft 3 and can't get up under the hood. Anyway I'm in Idaho and can't get to her. If there is anyone close to her that can help I'd be forever greatfull. She has posted in the Georgia chapter forum. I'll include that info too.
Thanks Barney

I don't belong to this chapter but I frustrated and if hurricane does flooding here I'll be stuck in my Fifth wheel unable to leave with my pets. My 1994 F350 stopped running day before yesterday and I've been chasing why, so far I've eliminated relays, fuse, emergency shut off under dash, dash fuel tank selector switch, fuel filter. Friend who was listening near tanks said couldn't hear either pump run, and there wasn't fuel at schrader valve near injectors. It is a 460 7.5 Bishop said it's two tanks and was running fine before I shut it off. Then wouldn't restart. I'll be honest I'm broke, I moved here for a job that hasn't happened, but if someone can help me I'll pay you back in the future as soon as I can."
Again Thank you
Thanks Barney

Where (don't have to be too specific if you don't like) are located specifically in regards to where the truck is parked? I used to be stationed at Robins AFB and may have a friend down in the area that can offer a hand, if he is still there.
I am pretty far to offer a hand myself and to be honest don't know much about the 460 gasser. Although, maybe we can get someone closer to you in the loop here.

The friend I had in the area has moved on and is no longer anywhere near you. I hope you get the assistance you need.
I am sure that you have posted this in the 94/460 forum?
Also, maybe post up what the truck is doing or not doing. Does it crank, does it anything when turning the key? I had a friend years ago that said that he had to push his column shifter up and turn the key at the same time to get his truck to start.
Give us some details, despite it not being a diesel 7.3, we are generally helpful people that may be able to help you have that "ah ha" moment.

SOUS may be on the right track with the neutral safety switch idea. If you can get it to bump/turn over at all while moving the shift lever that may be your problem. I never have worked on a 460 but the switch is usually pretty easy to get to on the side of the trans where the shift linkage is located.

Good morning all. Looks like the 7.5 gasser guys are giving Marsha the help she needs over on the georgia chapter link. That and her nephew just happened to pull into the same RV park last night!!! so looks like it may be a PCM. but I want to thank everyone for doing what you've always done, helping a stranger in need. Still proud to be a member of FTE.
PS: hi Phil, How are you? long time
