So I just picked up a 1993 f250 with the 351W. I replaced the ignition switch and it started just fine. I replaced the headlight switch and connector and it started just fine. While I had it apart I decided to check and replace the instrument panel lights. Didn't replace any yet. But after I put it back in the truck cranks just fine but will not fire. No start. Any advise?

If the tank select switch is currently undone while you have the cluster/instrument bezel open, it won't run.

Did you rep the key cylinder or the switch down the column?

 

i replaced the key cylinder. I don't have dual tanks but it's got a place to plug it in. So I plugged it in and it started right up! Thanks a million. I really appreciate the help!
