Anyone know how much a fuel filter change should cost at a Ford dealership? My dealer is saying around $250. I thought that was pretty steep. I'm just about to hit 12,000 miles and my 2nd oil change.
Motorcraft FD4624 is available on Amazon for $58. That may look a little high but it includes filters for both the fuel filter in the engine compartment and the filter that goes in the fuel/water separator. I've seen this kit described as, "inline fuel filter, a fuel panel filter and gasket." The fuel filter can be purchased separately, not as part of a kit.
I haven't had mine changed yet but my dealer quoted me $150 for the fuel filters. I just had it in the other day for oil change, it was $107 using Synthetic blend and Motorcraft filter.
The 6.7L is an easy change. Buy it and do it yourself.
I did it on my 2013 with no issues. Ran tank down to below 1/4 like some suggested, but I don't think it mattered.
