Recently while changing the oil, I noticed a great deal of white crystals around the Reductant Injector. This is the point where DEF is injected into the exhaust. There is a heat shield around the connection and that shield was moved up by the growing crystals.
The hose that connects to the injector is simply one of those press lock types, ie. you press on either side of it to remove it, and it simply locks in place by pressing it on the tube. This is the point where it seems to be leaking.
I will post pictures when I get a chance to get back under it.
I have an appointment with the dealer next week, and want to know if anyone else has had this happen, what they did, and really, if it is normal?
I have been tracking my DEF usage pretty close and I seem to get around 4900 miles from five gallons of DEF. No towing whatsoever, daily commuter 30 miles a day.
It's a 2016 F350 6.7 PS with 12,000 miles.
I just don't want to show up at the dealer and they tell me its normal.
Update: Dropped the truck off at the dealer today. They are replacing the entire DEF pressure line and the injector all naturally under warrantee. I should have the truck back in a day.

I too had the DEF stalagtite forming on the DEF injector with less than 500 miles on the truck. Turned out to be a bad DEF injector tube according to the dealership.
