It seems as if you all made out pretty lucky. I'm so glad to hear not only that you all are ok , but that Tampa dodged a bullet, and all and all many areas weren't as bad as they could of been hit. Don't get me wrong I know people lost there lives, possessions, and homes in many cases, but it could have been so much worse. I m very proud of how prepared the government and first responders and the public in general were in this horrible storm. Makes me proud to be an American, and how we all come together when people are in need. Please take a moment if you wish, to think, pray, or just feel, for the folks that lost all, Thank you for listening.

Well said underthebridgejim, thoughts and prayers with all of those in these hurricane hit areas. Glad to hear that, Denny, Merten, and Bob, came through pretty well.

You must have had some really strong wind to do that to the shingles. I have been repairing problems at my house since Harvey, some of which I should have done years ago, some caused by the 30 inches of rain mixed with wind which seems to find ways into places where it normally doesn't go. Actually nice to work on the house, it didn't take long to fix the damage, but I found a lot of other small things to fix that I either hadn't seen or had been putting off for way too long. I've been in this house since '79 and been through quite a few hurricanes with it. The last one was Ike when we had to replace the entire roof. This one was a piece of cake compared to Ike and Irma.
Good luck there with your recovery!
