Monday morning 07:00 update from the west coast of FL.
We are 100 miles north of Tampa and are high and dry. No apparent damage at this time. Still dark. Lots of debris to clean up, limbs, etc. Power was out for a short time, not long enough to fire up the generator. At least nine inches of rain. Five-inch rain gauge overflowed sometime during the night.
No major damage . Lost some tabs on the roof . Wind was blowing like a bitch last night . Power never went out . Minor plant damage . May need to file a claim as the wind blew of a rain guard on the Ram 2500 tow beast . All the prep was worth it and of course both trucks are show ready . Off to the yard to remove all the panels . What fun !

Thank God for your safety to, Denny! And both trucks, high and dry.
my yard.
No structural damage? My neighbor took these for me.
I evacuated Friday When they told me to. Drove all night to N. Augusta SC. Staying with relatives and now sitting through the remnants of Irma up here.
friday morning we signed up at a school shelter about 3 miles from my house.all day friday i kept running to the shelter to bring some things to put in our spot.they said that you could leave for about 2 hrs and if you were not back by then you could loose your spot.finally later they said that my spot was secure.i asked if i could go home and sleep in my own house and come back saturday and they said yes.since there was no real rain yet and we were not going to get hit until sunday.so we went home and i finished boarding up the house loaded up the jeep and parked the truck(chevy) sideways acrossed the garage and left 10 am saturday morning.we just got back from the shelter at 11 am this morning.no damage.my mobile home that i have (2miles from here) no damage there either.the school shelter gave everyone breakfast-lunch-dinner- glad to be home
Great news Denny, Merten, and Bob, glad you are safe and homes still intact! Looks like you might have some yard clean up to do Merten, but your house looks OK. Aways good to get out of town with those kind of winds.
