5.4 2v e350 cyclinder 2 missfire

Change coil pack and plug with OEM parts x 2. Just in case replacement was bad first time. Still getting same code. Fuel trims not the same between st1 and St2 Not sure what to check next. Coil does fire on plug out of head. No codes if I disconnect injector plug and coil to #2 cylinder.

Try swaping the injector with another cylinder and see if it follows.

Check to see if 12v is getting to the coil (RD/LG) and injector (RD) connectors with the ignition switch in Run.
Check to see if 12v is getting from the coil (PK/WH ?) and injector (WH ?) connectors to the PCM connector.

The OP did say "coil does fire plug out of head".

If misfire stays on # 2 after swapping COP & Plug to another cyl, I think it is time to swap #2 injector to another location and see what happens.

Sorry to hear that.

From a 5.4L 3v owner with 226K and going VERY strong. (Did a timing chain job recently) - but avg 170 PSI compression and recent careful check revealed 1 qt consumption in 2600 miles.

Good luck - (on your next FORD).

Did they do a leak down test? To make sure it wasnt a burnt/bent valve.
