Need to replace stereo head unit: will part numbers interchange?
I have what I believe to be a bad head unit (did a bunch of in and outs and testing and still have no tunes). My existing part number is BL3T-19C158-BA (6-Disc, Sirius, Sync). I have been trying (and failing) to find an exact replacement (same part number) but I've gotten close. I've read somewhere I think that I HAVE to use exact part number match. True?
I've found a couple of these:
BL3T-19C157-BA (just the 7 instead of an 8!)
Is there a list somewhere of the part numbers that WILL work with my truck or can I only use the exact match?
