I'm looking for some clarification on fuel sending unit numbers.
I have a '75 F250 with a in-cab tank.
The number on the one I have is D2TF-9275-AA.
The one I found that look like mine is D3TF-9375-E.
I found another one that is supposed to be for my truck that is C1TZ-9275-K
Are several of them interchangeable??
It's appearing to me like Ford used whatever was handy at the moment in their trucks.
You're mixing engineering numbers and part numbers. Ford hasn't put part numbers on parts since the early fifties. The number that you see on your sending unit is an engineering number. The Ford parts catalog can be used to cross these numbers over to the correct part number.
Engineering number D2TF-9275-AA crosses over to part number D0TZ-9275-A which was superseded by part number D7TZ-9275-G.
I see what you're saying, but neither one of those parts numbers match the sending units I'm seeing. Maybe I shouldn't overthink it and just order one.
thanks for the reply.
