I have a 1987 F350 crew cab with tilt steering. It starts fine, but I have to hold the switch a litte forward for the radio ,wipers and power windows to work. It's like the key switch springs back too far and looses contact. I tried a new key switch, but it didn't change anything. Thanks in advance.
th eignition switch is located on top of the column, roughly above the brake pedal. it is held to the column by two 7/16 head bolts.
to adjust the switch, you need to loosen the two bolts a bit and slide the switch. there is about 3/8 inch adjustment available for the switch.

Not having any luck adjusting the switch, is there a trick to it? I tried down until the starter wouldn't engage, and up until it wouldn't disengag . No mater where, you still had to hold key switch forward for radio, power windows to work
did you feel or look at the switch to see if it is separated a bit? sometimes the switch will separate between the plastic and metal parts causing a no power unless the key is held just rite.

X2 It may be time to bite the bullet and replace the switch... It sounds like it has seen better days...
